Reviews:

“Coming from developing small games in XNA and Monogame, I was worried that the course might not be exactly what I was looking for. I am happy to report that I was mistaken and that this course really helped me get a handle on some game mechanic techniques that I hadn’t quite mastered. The instruction was very clear and the instructor was very genuine. It was great to see how he problem solved and to hear his approach to game management in general.
If you are interested in getting started with unity, this is a great introductory course that leaves you with a cool little platformer at the end. Highly recommended.” (Liam Tille)

“Aside from making art assets, this lesson will seriously tell you everything you need to know to make a 2D platformer. But you will get out of it exactly as much as what you put into it. If you’re looking to rush through lessons, you probably won’t pick it up. If you take your time, you can actually learn quite a bit and craft pieces that weren’t even in the lesson.
However, I would go in with a little tiny bit of programming knowledge. James is an awesome instructor, but he won’t be diving into the super basics of programming. I took an entry level JavaScript lesson before this and it helped a lot to have a clear understanding of the concepts of if statements, bools, and arrays. If you have that under your belt already, I’d say go for it.
I’m about to start making my own game and if it weren’t for this tutorial, I wouldn’t know where to start. I really have every piece of knowledge I need to get it started. Thanks a ton James.” (Christopher Steinberger)

“Good BUT…
Even though he explains every action taken, it is not reinforced since he tells you the answer immediately afterwards. New students, or those not curious, will struggle since you can basically follow what he is doing WITHOUT KNOWING what your are doing. Just copying and pasting.
My two cents, add exercises for the user to complete so they can learn by actually DOING :)” (Kijana James)

I can’t wait to help you learn all about making your own games and how to make them a success.
So why not start learning to make games with me now?
